Why do we celebrate so much in the West?
Every weekend, we go out and drink alcohol, "celebrating life." But actually, nothing we l've done during the week gives us any reason to celebrate. We're weak, indecisive, and not in pursuit of anything but the next celebration. The solution is to become a (peaceful) warrior. This means getting uncomfortable, following a dream, making sacrifices, and standing for something.
This mindset is the actual celebration of life. We don't need weekends and alcohol for this.
And maybe, in this wild world, we will have to be actual warriors at some point. Let's pray that we don't. But "it is better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.” (Miyamoto Musashi)
