Day 24’454

Vegans should own slaughterhouses.

Yes, really.

As long as people keep buying meat, slaughterhouses will exist. Wishing it weren’t so doesn’t change reality. The only thing that kills slaughterhouses is lack of demand. But that’s slow—and in the meantime, someone’s going to own them.

If you own the thing you wish didn’t exist, you start to understand it. You see its mechanics. You stop moralizing from a distance and start pulling real levers.

You can’t burn it all down overnight—that just hands it to someone who doesn’t care. But if you’re smart, strategic, and patient, you can shift the system from the inside.

This isn’t just about vegans and meat.

It’s about anything you think shouldn’t exist in its current form—whether it’s a business model, a product, or an industry. If you want to change it, maybe you need to own it first.

Uncomfortable? Good. That’s where real change starts.
